Performance Evidence
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to complete the tasks outlined in the elements, performance criteria and foundation skills of this unit, including evidence of the ability to:
carry out rig lease operations on at least two occasions, including: interpreting and applying:work schedulesmanufacturer instructionssafety data sheetsafe operating proceduresselecting and fitting chain, stinger and slings required for loadstransferring equipment by forkliftplacing, measuring, labelling and recording details of tubularloading rod racks, strapping and numbering tubularsassisting in running and recovery of blow out prevention stackoperating air tugger winch if requiredassisting in supply of transport equipment to drill floor and loading and unloading materials and equipment.During the above, the candidate must:locate and apply documentation, policies and procedures required for carrying out rig lease operationsimplement the requirements, procedures and techniques for carrying out rig lease operations, including: identifying, addressing and reporting potential hazards and riskscontrolling identified hazardsidentifying, addressing and reporting environmental issues preparing written records and reportsrectifying and reporting faults and malfunctions as requiredwork with others to undertake and complete rig lease operations that meet required outcomes, including: complying with written and verbal reporting requirements and procedurescommunicating with others to receive and clarify work instructionscommunicating with others to meet coordination requirements prior to commencing and during work activities.
